Meet Josh

The Good Sorts at Good Sorts is a series that brings our people out from behind the scenes and into the spotlight.
Meet Josh Blanchard, one of the friendly faces on our team who’s all about relationships, results, and doing things the right way. Born and raised right here in Kelowna, Josh has deep Okanagan roots (thanks to a childhood spent chasing hockey seasons around the valley), but he always finds his way back home. Today, he brings a ton of outside sales experience to Good Sorts — and a genuine passion for helping people feel looked after.
We caught up with Josh to talk Kelowna nostalgia, golf days, and why he loves being part of a company that can pretty much do it all.
Where did you grow up, and what’s one thing you miss (or don’t!) about it?
I was born and raised in Kelowna, BC. I lived in a variety of Okanagan cities playing hockey as a kid, but I always made my way back to Kelowna. A couple of things I miss most are the people I grew up with who moved away — and my lunch dates with Grandma.
Before joining Good Sorts, what kind of work or experiences shaped your path?
Before joining Good Sorts, I worked in a variety of outside sales roles, which really helped with my transition here. I’ve done every type of sales imaginable, and I realized early on that I have a passion for helping people and being that friendly face people can trust. Good Sorts allows me to do exactly that.
What’s one thing you’ve learned since starting that’s surprised you?
The number of services we can provide our customers — there’s next to nothing we can’t do for property managers and building owners.
What’s your favourite memory or moment with the Good Sorts crew so far?
My favourite memory so far is our yearly planning retreat. It’s a great opportunity to talk about the previous year and all the exciting things coming in the new year — all while getting away and having some fun with the amazing people who help build this incredible brand.
When you’re off the clock, what activities or hobbies do you enjoy most?
When I’m not working, you’ll find me in the gym, on the golf course, or heading up the mountain with my Bernese Mountain Dog, Charlie. Mostly on the golf course if the weather allows it.
What’s your favourite local spot to eat, unwind, or spend time with friends?
A couple places come to mind: PNB (best happy hour in town), Dakota’s (best beef dip), Ask Pablo (unique cocktails), and Flip Flops & Hops (best casual spot).
What’s your favourite drink? (morning coffee, evening cocktail, or anything in between!)
Favourite evening cocktail: Disaronno with a splash of Diet Dr. Pepper at Christmas time is incredible — but my morning espresso is a close second.
What’s your favourite drink?
A trip to Greece is something I’ve aspired to do since I was young, and I’m still looking to make it happen.
If you could travel anywhere tomorrow, where would you go?
Scottsdale, Arizona — to play golf.
